Sign Out Procedures

1. Please park in circle near flag pole --DO NOT USE FRONT "BUSES ONLY" DRIVEWAY

2. Use doorway marked "Administration Entrance". It's the only one open for public access.

3. If later than 6:00 p.m. you will need to come to the Dining Commons door for entry access. Just knock and we'll open it for you.

4. Always bring in your ASP sign out card or a photo I.D. (driver's liscense) when you come to pick up your child. No child will be allowed to leave until we verify who is "legal" to sign the child out.

Payment

Payment is due in the morning of the day that your child plans to attend the program. You can put any amount on your child's account and it will only be used when the child is in attendance.

Spanish

Spanish is offered once a week to each grade. If at all possible, try to give your child their full time in the class. The schedule is as follows:

Mondays: 3:15-4:00 4th grade      4:00-4:45  5th grade        4:45-5:15 2nd grade

Wednesdays: 3:15-4:00  3rd grade    4:00-4:30  Kindergarten    4:30-5:00 1st grade

Homework

Homework time is scheduled daily for all grades except kindergarten. We will help when your child needs additional explanations about their assignments (ie: reading the instructions with them, giving them similar problems or activities to solve with our assistance) however, we will not correct all incorrect answers. It is very important that you check your child's work to see where they are having problems. If you only see a perfect homework paper that your child has done with our help, you may not know the problem still exists. Then, when you conference with the teacher, your perception of your child's work and the work done in class won't match. We'll put a note on their sheet to indicate they had difficult with the assignment. If you prefer to have your child only do homework at home with you, then we'll need a letter from you. Your child will still go with their class for the homework period, but they will be asked to read during this time.

Hello Parents,

Please remember that ASP is a prepaid program.  It is really best to send in the payment before your child stays in the program; however, if you would rather not impose this responsibility on your child, it is important that you make the payment at the time of check out.  Thank you.

It is important that we know exactly what your wishes are for your child's attendance or non-attendance in ASP.  We provide permission slips that you can fill out daily or weekly to be sent to your child's teacher so he/she will know which days your child will attend ASP.  If you don't have any of these, just write the teacher a note letting him/her know of your wishes.

If you need to make a change from a scheduled day, be sure to send in a signed written note making this change.  We can't take just a verbal message by way of your child.  These rules are for your child's safety.
