Audition sign-up sheets for specific parts in the Winter Concert are posted outside the music room. Auditions will take place before morning annoucements on Oct. 6, 8, 9 and 10th in the mornings before annoucements. Students are to prepare the solo they are most interested in, sign-up for a date / time and remember that information. Students who audition for a solo may be assigned a solo but it may not necessarily be the one he / she auditioned for.
Here is what's available:
In the Spirit - student conductor (5th Grade).
Turn the World Around - at least 2 solos and instruments (4th & 5th grades).
Solo #1: We come from the fire, living in the fire, Go back to the fire, turn the world around.
Solo #2: We come from the water, living in the water, Go back to thw water, turn the world around.
Solo #1 & 2: We come from the mountain, living on the mountain, Go back to the mountain, turn the world around.
Solo #1: Water make the river, river wash the mountain, Fire make the sunlight, turn the world around.
Solo #2: Heart is of the river, body is the mountain, Spirit is the sunlight, turn the world around.
Solo #1 & 2: We are of the spirit, truly can the spirit, Only can the spirit, turn the world around.
Let There Be Peace - 2 solos (4th & 5th Grades).
Solo #1: In my hands and in my heart, I will try to do my part. I have the power, I hold the key. Let it begin with me! Let there be peace on earth, unending peace on earth.

When the Lights All Shine - 1 Solo (5th Grade), measures 9 to 24.
Fairest lady - Descant - top line (4th & 5th Grades), page 4, measures 50 to the end.
Auditions will be posted approx. 1 week after completed. Decisions are final once results are posted.
